Walk With Ease

Walk With Ease is a six-week virtual program that can help you develop a walking plan that meets your needs, including motivation, pain management, overall health, and safe physical activity. Participants will receive educational tools to help them achieve success and are encouraged to walk on their own schedule three times each week. We will meet via Zoom once a week for the six weeks to share successes, challenges, and learn more tools to help be successful in starting or maintaining a regular walking routine.  This program is offered in partnership with MU Extension and Aging Best. 

Sunday, August 18-Saturday, September 28 (6 weeks)

  • Thursdays, Noon (6 sessions)

Tomato Festival

The Tomato Festival will include presentations by tomato experts and tastings of more than a hundred varieties of tomatoes, peppers and tomatillos. Liz will be providing information from 4-6pm on home food preservation, including an opportunity to explore home food preservation equipment!

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy – Level 1

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy – Level 1 is designed to increase aging adults’ access to a safe, structured, and effective strength training program. Participants learn progressive exercises that improve strength, flexibility, and balance. During exercise, participants are made to feel comfortable regardless of current fitness level. The class meets twice a week, one hour each time, for eight weeks.

Mondays and Wednesdays, September 23-November 20 (16 sessions)*
No classes: October 14 & 21

3:30-4:30pm

Cost $50 per participant ($25 for member of same household)
