“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." - Luke 18:16

2nd Reading 1 Corinthians 3:9c-11, 13-16
The 3rd person of the Holy Trinity dwells within our body.
Let that sink in for a bit.
The Holy Spirit that was present at the creation of the universe and blew upon the waters eons ago, dwells within us. That must mean we are pretty special.
Sometimes we forget how special we are or we can’t hear God telling us how much He loves us because there is so much noise and static in our lives.
If the Devil can’t make us bad he will make us busy.
Are we too busy to appreciate all the Lord has given us and tries to continue to give us? Do we even know what God is saying? How can we know what He is saying if we don’t read Scriptures to get to know His voice and His desires for us to live with Him. Have we become deaf, or worse off, don’t even know we have lost our hearing?
Today’s 2nd reading is to remind us that through the craziness of this world, we are called to set ourselves apart for God and that our bodies are wonderfully and beautifully made in His image so we must take care of them, they are precious. YOU are precious.
So as we go about our busy week, take time to appreciate a few moments of silence and let God into our hearts. Take a few minutes to exercise or rest, eat something good for you, listen to something that lifts your heart to God, watch what you are watching and make sure it is good, pure and holy for the Lord, guard your thoughts and your speech.
What we think and say is the state of our soul. What is the state of your soul? Is it pretty good or do we have to shake things up and get the stink off of it? If so, Reconciliation is a great place to go!
See you at Mass this weekend, woo hoo!
